Terms of Service

1. What JMD is

JMD (also known as JobMeDammit) is an AI-assisted job search platform: it aggregates job listings, tracks your applications, and uses artificial intelligence to generate documents and insights such as tailored resumes, cover letters, fit scores, interview preparation, and salary guidance. By creating an account or using JMD, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You sign in with a third-party identity provider (such as Microsoft or Google). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use JMD.

3. AI-generated content

Resumes, cover letters, fit scores, interview questions, salary analysis, and similar outputs are generated by AI models and are drafts, not professional advice. They may contain errors. Review and edit anything JMD generates before sending it to an employer, and verify any factual or salary claims independently. JMD does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, or any particular outcome.

4. Job listings

Job listings shown in JMD are aggregated from third-party sources. We do not control and cannot guarantee their accuracy, availability, or legitimacy. Applications happen on external sites governed by those sites' own terms.

5. Email integration

Connecting your mailbox is optional. If you connect it, JMD reads limited information from recent messages to detect application updates, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time from the dashboard, which deletes the stored connection tokens.

6. Your content

You own the content you provide (your profile, resume, writing samples, notes). You grant us the limited rights needed to store and process that content solely to operate the service, including sending relevant portions to the AI and search providers listed in the Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempting to access other users' data, no probing or disrupting the infrastructure, no automated scraping of the service, and no using JMD to generate misleading or fraudulent application materials.

8. Service availability

JMD is an early-stage product provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Features may change, break, or be discontinued. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JMD and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, employment outcomes, or lost data arising from your use of the service.

10. Subscriptions and billing

JMD offers a paid "Pro" subscription that unlocks AI-powered features — document generation, interview prep, salary advice, networking, AI fit scoring, and automated email tracking. The free plan remains available without payment.

Pro is billed in advance at the price shown at checkout, on a monthly or annual cycle you choose, through our payment processor, Stripe. New subscribers may receive a free trial; if you don't cancel before it ends, your paid subscription begins automatically. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel, and your subscription renews automatically each billing period.

You can cancel anytime from Settings; your Pro access continues through the end of the current paid period and then does not renew. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time. If a payment fails, Pro access may be suspended or downgraded to free. We may change subscription pricing with advance notice, effective for subsequent billing periods.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Questions: [email protected].
